The Obama Runway to Win fundraiser has a line of celebrity-designed items whose sales will benefit the president's re-election campaign. Simple. It's like a bake sale for people who prefer fashion over brownies. Scarlett Johansson will host and Obama For America campaign manager Jim Messina will be a special guest.

So the GOP is whining about the Obama campaign hosting a ritzy NYC fashion show while 12 million Americans remain out of work. Really? That's all you got? Because Obama's got the creation of over 3 million jobs since he took office. Jobs, just so you remember, that were lost under Baby Bush because of people and companies like Mitt Romney & Bain Capital. He's also got this reminder that the GOP could care less about whether or not the unemployed ever go back to work. Way to spend your money, dipshits.
But my most favorite, favoritest part of the whole thing? The Hypocrisy of it all. The GOP keeps telling Americans to stop needing the government. To stop taking its Social Security despite the fact that as retired presidents both Bush Senior and Baby Bush receive a salary of $450,000 a year for life from the government - your tax dollars. To stop wanting Government health insurance despite the fact that every GOP member of the federal government receives federal health insurance - your tax dollars. To stop taking handouts. The way they do. From your tax dollars.
